Speaker Bio
Rick Niederstadt has over 25 years of experience in the engineering, design, and construction industry. Rick started in the private sector as a consultant performing engineering, design, and construction management. Since 2000, Rick has been working with the Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District (MMSD). He started as a construction manager before moving into the role of Construction Support Manager in 2012, and then into the role of Capital Program Support Manager in 2015. Rick is responsible for Project Controls, including MMSDs Project Management Information System, Construction Management, Survey, and Geospatial Services and Solutions groups at MMSD. He has a passion for project management processes, project management information systems, and digital transformation.
Rick holds a bachelor’s degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Marquette University and is a registered Professional Engineer. Rick is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers, Water Environment Federation, Construction Owners Association of America, and the Smart Water Networks Forum (SWAN).
