2018 COAA Fall Owners Leadership Conference | Hilton La Jolla Torrey Pines | La Jolla, CA | November 14-16, 2018
From Kickoff to Closeout: How Technology is Changing the Data Turnover Conversation
Session Number: 16B
11/15/2018 02:45 PM - 11/15/2018 03:45 PM
According to industry research, turnover represents a make or break moment for the relationship between contractors and owners. Too few change order closures, unresolved punch list items, and incomplete final document packages during the closeout phase remain the biggest challenge for Owners — despite the proliferation of construction software. Stuart Frederich Smith, VP of Product Marketing at PlanGrid will present industry and original research findings and an overview of ways in which Owners can help guide contractors to deliver a comprehensive data set at turnover. David Benjamin, Global Director of Facilities and Workplace Operations at Netflix, will join Stuart on stage to reveal how Netflix is rethinking their relationship with contractors and the entire building lifecycle. David will describe how a single source of data throughout the entire lifecycle of the project is the key to handing over projects with ease and accuracy, and far more efficient facility operation.
