COAA was founded in 1994 to serve the interests of construction project owners. COAA is comprised of a diverse group of men and women representing construction project owners throughout America.

COAA Cultural Guidelines for Associates/Industry Partners

COAA values our Associate Members and Construction Industry Partners who provide more than just products and services to our Owner members. They provide meaningful insight into the planning, design, and construction process.
COAA’s vision is to create a collaborative network, representing the entire spectrum of careers and market segments. We trust that this collaborative atmosphere is what grows relationships. We believe that when you focus on building relationships, those relationships will help you to succeed.
COAA and its membership sees you as a catalyst - someone who dedicated to, and is skilled at, designing,establishing, and cultivating reciprocal and beneficial relationships.
Being an effective connector is an essential quality that we look for in our Associate volunteer(s). Knowing how to connect people, whether for networking purposes or for potential programming assistance, it is a skill that all our Associates should strive to attain.
To help ensure the success of your organization, we have developed a guideline for our Associate members who agree to:
  • Maintain the highest standards of integrity in all business relationships.
  • Provide COAA members with an experience that builds, fosters and grows business relationships at Chapter workshops and events via educational and sponsorship opportunities
  • Conduct my business affairs with professionalism, honesty and integrity.
  • Always act in line with my organization’s codes and within the law.
