Build it Better - How to get More Quality with Less Rework

Andrew McGonigle, Northwestern University
Corey Zussman, Pepper Construction
Jim Nissen, Pepper Construction

How does poor quality impact your bottom line?  Poor quality and incorrect installations cause rework.  The typical construction project can see 2% to 3% of work done more than once, impacting both cost and schedule.  By proactively approaching quality, these risks can be greatly reduced.  Using data, we can assess the impact of rework in various categories and pinpoint opportunities to reduce it.

This panel discussion will leverage project-specific examples and comprehensive metrics to identify the most common issues that can affect your project.  We will also discuss how to make the subjective nature of contractor selection more objective.  Learn what to look for in a construction partner and how certification programs can ensure you're building the right team for your project.
