Professional Bio
Walker is the Assistant Director for Project Support within Planning, Design and Construction at Auburn University’s division of Facilities Management. He is responsible for oversight of development and execution of all contracts related to design and construction, development of unit price contracts, management of all construction front-end documents, and also manages the internal estimating group.
Prior to this position, Walker served as Chief Estimator of Construction Management at Auburn for 11 years. He managed a staff of estimators and reviewed all change orders for construction projects. During this time, he developed and led the implementation of multiple Job Order Contracting (JOC) contracts.
Walker has worked for Auburn University for over 19 years. He previously worked for various commercial general contractors in the southeast for over 20 years. Walker holds a Bachelor of Science in Building Construction (1982) from Auburn University.
