A Center for Integrative Health & Wellness

Join us at UC Irvine to explore the Susan & Henry Samueli College of Health Sciences and the Sue & Bill Gross School of Nursing Buildings. This tour is a unique opportunity to learn how we can leverage Integrative Health principles in your campus planning to ensure student success.  The transformative project aims to establish the client as a global model for integrative health, and the design focuses on harmonizing health, nature, and physical space to enhance experiences for students, staff, and patients, as well as improve learning and healthcare outcomes.
 
The tour will take you through the Sue & Bill Gross Nursing and Health Sciences Hall, a hub of learning that includes simulation labs, clinical skills laboratories, and classrooms. The College of Health Sciences features research neighborhoods, a nutritional education center, an integrative health ambulatory clinic, and offices, providing a comprehensive view of the educational, clinical, and research facilities.
 
The central element of the design is the 'integrator,' a multi-story glass connector area with an exterior rooftop terrace. This hub space serves as an ecosystem of communal areas, lounges, an amphitheater, and study spaces where all disciplines can interact. It fosters the sharing of instructional, academic, and interdisciplinary research in line with the principles of integrative medicine.
 
A strong emphasis is placed on connecting with nature to promote healing and wellness. Join this exceptional tour as we explore the healing powers of the outdoors and nature provided in numerous outdoor gardens, terraces, and spaces. We will round out our journey with a complimentary happy hour.

The COAA-CA Hard Hat Tour at UC Irvine, originally scheduled for September 19, has been postponed and will be rescheduled for Spring 2025. After careful consideration and conversations with the event organizers, we believe the spring timing will provide a better experience for all participants.
