Celebrating Greg's Remarkable Journey with COAA
As Greg steps into his well-deserved retirement, we at COAA-IL want to take a moment to celebrate his extraordinary contributions and thank him for his unwavering dedication and leadership over the years.
Greg co-founded the COAA-IL chapter in 2011, and since then, he has been the driving force behind our growth and success. His journey with us began with a vision to create a collaborative and educational environment for professionals in the construction industry. With the support of Boyd Black and the commitment of volunteers like Chris Rogan, both from the University of Illinois, Greg turned that vision into reality.
Under Greg's leadership, the COAA-IL chapter quickly became a vibrant community. His passion for education and professional development set the tone for our activities and events. Greg's firm, K&L Gates, generously hosted numerous COAA events, providing a space for us to learn, network, and grow together. His personal involvement in various committees showcased his dedication and set a high standard for all of us.
The welcoming culture that Greg nurtured within our chapter is something many of us cherish deeply. As Mike Pedersen once noted, it was Greg's consistent support and positive influence that kept volunteers engaged and motivated. Julia de Rossi echoed these sentiments, recalling how the inclusive atmosphere Greg fostered at COAA-IL events inspired her to join and stay involved.
Greg's impact goes beyond just organizational achievements. He created a community where members felt valued and supported. His leadership style, characterized by resilience and a genuine care for others, has left a lasting legacy.
As Greg embarks on this new chapter of his life, we want to express our heartfelt gratitude. Thank you, Greg, for your vision, your hard work, and your unwavering commitment to COAA-IL. You have built something truly special, and your influence will continue to guide us in the years to come...as we deliver on Greg's rally cry, "Long live COAA!"
We wish you all the best in your retirement, Greg. Please don’t be a stranger – we’d love to see you at our events, even in retirement. Enjoy this next phase of your journey, knowing that you have made a significant and lasting impact on all of us.
With warmest regards,
The COAA-IL Team
