Cost Management: Just the Facts, Please
Cost management is critically important for construction projects and increasingly difficult. A recent study by Dodge Data & Analytics shows that 33% of typical projects come in over budget, and even among projects identified by contractors as their best performing, more than one in five fails to meet budget.
Dodge released a new SmartMarket Brief in Q4 of 2021, entitled The Construction Cost Management Report, which is based on a Dodge survey of 243 Owners (122 public, 121 private), 240 general contractors, and 241 specialty trade contractors from the U.S., Canada, the United Kingdom, and Australia/New Zealand.
Stephen Jones, Senior Director of Industry Insights Research for Dodge, will share findings from this research, including:
- Current capabilities & challenges
- Solutions and processes
- Future needs
Learn what the findings mean:
It is intended to establish a mutual awareness of the current state of cost management capabilities, challenges, solutions, internal processes, and needs for future improvement.
